Tabebuia berteroi:
Tabebuia berteroi (DC.) Britton
Common Name: Hispaniolan Rosy Trumpet Tree
Family: Bignoniaceae (Jacaranda family)
Synonym: Tecoma berteroi
Consider myself very lucky to have got the seed dispersal. Initially I thought it was a feather stuck in the foliage!
Santa as in cruz, Greater Mumbai.
I too think that this is Tabebuia berteroi (DC.) Britton of Bignoniaceae family.
yes it is
Two visitors I spotted on the main trunk, the camouflage of one being near perfect.
Hispaniolan Rosy Trumpet Tree is yet another Tabebuia from latin America. It comes from the island of Hispaniola near Cuba
It is a small tree with obovate leaflets 5-12 cm long. Leaflets are hairless, thick and pointed. The tree bears trumpet shaped flowers with 5 flaring petals with crinkled margins. The flowers, 5-6 cm long, are rosy white, with yellow in the throat.
The tree is cultivated in India, but is not common
It sheds its leaves in Jan, and flowers are season most of the time (Mar-Oct) in Bangalore

Bignoniaceae Week :: Tabebuia berteroi : Hispaniolan Rosy Trumpet Tree : Oman : AK:  Adding pictures of Tabebuia berteroi, commonly known as Hispaniolan Rosy Trumpet Tree, from Muscat, Oman. A common, cultivated tree seen in the gardens here.
very nice. but why so sparse. I thought it fills the sky with pink...

The one that fills the sky with pink is another Tabebuia species.
On this tree, I have not come across flowers in a bunch. They are usually 2 or 3 on a stem at a time.
These flowers fall off by evening, so they don't stay on the tree for long.
I am unable to explain better.
Some expert would be able to.

Is this Tabubea? Does it bloom in monsoon too ? In fact I have seen this tree flowering almost throughout the year.
Location - Mumbai
Date - July 2019

Could be Tabebuia heterophylla,

This looks like Tabebuia berteroi (DC.) Britton to me.

Thanks ... Shall wait for the confirmation of species.

Thanks, ... for the id.
To me also appears close to images at Tabebuia berteroi (DC.) Britton
Looks different from images at Tabebuia heterophylla (DC.) Britton

It is very difficult to pinpoint the ID in ornamental Tabebuia trees based on a single photograph as there are many inter-specific natural hybrids. One need to check each & every character.

Agree with ...

Thanks ... I have 2-3 more photographs of the same tree.I have two more images of the same tree,Attaching for the reference.

A huge tree with pink flowers seen on 12/11/14.
Species id please.
Tabebuia rosea
Thanks for the Species id.
Isn’t this Tabebuia rosea, (Bertol.) DC. <=> Rose Trumpet Tree
I could not make up my mind between Tabebuia rosea and Tabebuia pentaphylla.
Tabebuia rosea is generally flowering in March-April and not in Nov.
This very huge tree was closer to West Gate.
Flower color: pink, white/cream/gray as per EDIS
Leaf type: palmately compound; made up of 5 or fewer leaflets as per EDIS

A Pterospermum sp. Is it P. suberosum ?
Looks similar to Tabebuia species. I have seen such trees in Chennai city.
The tree is Tabuibia pentaphylla or T.pallida. Very common in Chennai. Giant trees can be seen in Madras University campus as well as in Anna University.
Here's a snapshot of Tabeubia pallida shot near my home at kalpaakam,
2 images.
Tabebuia pallida is different as per JCU  Biodiversity of Singapore  stuartxchange  monaconatureencyclopedia  eppo (Typical specimens have only a single leaflet but some have three leaflets)
Yes, now it does not look like a Pterospermum, quite possible a Tabebuia, more likely a pallida
Not Tabebuia pallida as per details and references herein.

I have just got hooked on to the flora diversity around us and I am enjoying it.
Could you please help me identify these trees clicked in my hometown Kalpakkam, TamilNadu. I am not sure which one is Tabeaubia & which one is Radarmachera?
FL1: Tree 1 (A-Flower) (B-Pod)
FL2 : Tree-2 (Leaves & Flower)

1 and 1b are Tabebuia pallida.
It is Tabebuia pallida.  There are many variants in this species, as they often inerbreed.

3 pictures for you: Could anyone ID these trees please?
This plant is a species of Tabebuia and could be Tabebuia rosea of Bignoniaceae family.
Agreeing with ... for the last two pictures. But the first one is different, looking like Carallia brachiata. Not sure though...
Tabebuia pallida
Thank you for the exact ID of the second and third picture. Photo was taken at Panaji Goa on 10 Aug 2012/0937 AM with Canon EOS 600D in one of the Muncipal Gardens.
It is look like Tabebuia rosea (Bertol.) DC. but in this species leaflets are usually 5.
But in the posted pictures leaflets are 3. May be T. pallida (Leaflets 1-5).
Please check
I tend to agree with ... and ...  that the second and third pictures are of the T. pallida. I am making a separate thread for the first picture.
I think it is Tabebuia pallida (Lindl.) Miers

Pl. correct. Leaf are very important for id.

Thanks ..., I think you are right. Another set of herbarium images agree with your view:
The species is corrected on the site now.
Thanks, ... I have to correct each others images on FOI and EFI (when ever possible), as lot of persons refer to either of them leading to wrong ids.
That's a commendable effort you are making! That is required, so that wrong information is not propagated. All the more important because the sites are now heavily used.
I mean to say:
We have to correct each others images on FOI and EFI (when ever possible), as lot of persons refer to either of them leading to wrong ids.
