Please identify this flower taken in Nagaland just before the border from Assam?
Growing low on the ground near the road.
Could it be a begonia species?
Definitely Begonia sp.

This could be B. beddomei. This is a poorly known species which has never been photographed. It is unusual in the section (Platycentrum) in have a tuberous habit and no cauline leaves. Very interesting!

Begonia picta ?
Looking at the image quality it is difficult to decide but may be correct !
Dr. Marc has suggested as B. beddomei which may be correct but not
sufficient information to verify !
