S. uniflora is a totally different plant belonging to the subgenus Amphilaena in which upper most leaves are generally coloured and enclosing (half or completely) the capitulum. This Saussurea was again recorded from VOF and surroundings.. kindly validate if this can be Saussurea fastuosa.. flowers are yet to open.. Yes it is S.fastuosa [=S.denticulata].
Saussurea fastuosa (Decne) Sch. Bip. [=Aplotaxis fastuosa Decne; Saussurea denticulata Wallich ex C.B.Clarke] is common perennial herb in Valley of Flowers around timberline altitude.

I visited the same area the day before yesterday looking for flowering Swertia speciosa (I had seen it on my previous visit but it had not started flowering then!) and decided to check on this Saussurea too.
