Please Id this blue butterfly on Tridax procumbens at Pune
Difficult as stated by ..., but this could be the Common Cerulean. The size of the butterfly when compare to the Tridax inflorescence, suggests that this is a smaller butterfly.
I mean, smaller for this to be Common Cerulean. I feel this would be something like Cupid.
Common Cerulean has a thick dark band on the edge of fore-wing and there are few dark spots in the hind wing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/niyo/5348062037/ efloraindia: 141111 BRS165: Sharing the images of Tridax procumbens flower and winged seeds ready for dispersal.
