Anaphalis triplinervis (Sims) Sims ex C.B.Clarke, 105 1876. (Syn. Antennaria triplinervis Sims; Gnaphalium cuneatum Wall. ex DC.; Gnaphalium cynoglossoides Trevir.; Gnaphalium nepalense Hort. ex DC.; Gnaphalium perfoliatum Wall. [Illegitimate]; Gnaphalium quintuplinerve Buch.-Ham. ex DC.); Woolly Pearly Everlasting; Stout erect perennial herbs with cottony covering; leaves elliptic up to 6 cm long, up to 2.5 cm broad, lower 3-5-veined, upper smaller, white tomentose beneath, green above, lower petiolate, upper sessile, amplexicaul; capitula many, phyllaries white, 5-6-seriate; shiny, ovate-lanceolate, middle 6.5-11 mm long. I have been waiting for these to flower and had hoped on my weekend walk to Triund to see at least one plant with open flowers. I had no luck. I may have to walk up again in a week or so to see these open. I suspect them to be Anaphalis sp. Please advise. Anaphalis Mcleodganj-Triund, HP 2200m and above 31 July and 6 August 2016. I hope so. Pl. check comparative images of Anaphalis at efi. Thank you ... I will do so and visit the area to photograph the open flowers soon.
