Yes I think ... is right. Aster albescence, described as Microglossa albescence in FBI. Strangely The Plant List considers both as correct names, not even citing the basionym in latter.

Aster albescens (DC.) Wall. ex Kuhne (=Amphirhapis albescens DC.; Microglossa albescens(DC.) C.B.Clarke) is a common woody based perennial in subalpine and alpine zones of the entire Himalaya. Stems are up to 1m tall less branched bearing terminal cluster of numerous flower heads.
Here it is photographed in Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand in September 2008 at an altitude of 3400m.

Saw these near Ghangaria on the way to VOF Uttarakhand in Aug 2018.
Identified as Aster albescens based on efi pics. Kindly validate.

To me also appear close to images at Aster albescens (DC.) Wall. ex Hand.-Mazz. 

Correct ID ... Elevation would be added advantage for ID. Mine was shot at 9000 ft. efi thread
Thanks ... for validating. These may have been clicked at about 9800-9900 ft, just near Ghangaria helipad.
