Artemisia vestita from Zabarwan mountain, Srinagar, Kashmir: Artemisia vestita Wall. ex Bess, Nouv. Mem. Soc. Nat. Mosc. 3: 25. 1834
Erect shrubby perennial up to 2 m tall with grooved stems; leaves twice pinnately cut, fern-like, upper surface softly hairy, lower white hairy; heads nodding in long compound hairy racemes, 6-10 flowered, bracts oblong
membranous; fruit smooth shining.
Common in Kashmir valley at lower altitudes on exposed hilly slopes.
Photographed in August from zabarwan slopes above Cheshmashahi and from Dachhigam Forest.

Plant is used by locals as a Folk medicine.
