Chlorophytum indicum


 
 

Herbs, roots fleshy tuberous. Leaves radical, to 30 x 2 cm, flat, lanceolate, apex acute, margins thinly hyaline, ciliate. Racemes terminal; flowers white; bracts to 3 cm, ovate; pedicels to 1 cm, jointed at the middle; perianth lobes 1.5 x 0.5 cm, oblong, spathulate; stamens 7 mm, basally connate; ovary subglobose, 5 mm, style to 1 cm, stigma 3-fid.

Chlorophytum comosum is not reported in our regional floras, it is a wild herb and not from cultivated source. It is C. indicum only
