Pls check, it should be epiphytic on another tree. Your first pic probably shows this In my opinion, it is Schefflera venulosa which occurs commonly in Deccan forests while S. stellata occurs in Nilgiris and Pulneys. I have collected this from Sidderabetta only in entire Tumkur District. It is Schefflera stellata for me I think this is Schefflera venulosa. We have very good population in semi-evergreen forests in Odisha. Schefflera venulosa (Wight & Arn.) Harms SN April 35 : Attachments (3). 1 post by 1 author. Schefflera venulosa (Wight & Arn.) Date: 26 September 2016 Looks like could be a Schefflera. There are 3 listed for Nepal in the Enumeration: S.elata, S.impressa, S. venulosa. S.impressa is now S.rhododendrifolia but from what I can tell, it does not seem to match this. So this leaves S.elata and S.venulosa. The latter is recorded from 300-1800m. The former from 1800-2100m. The pressed specimen images I have seen suggest this could be S.venulosa but nor sure. Others are likely to be more familiar with this genus than I am. Or any other suggestions. The only Schefflera listed in 'Flora of Kathmandu Valley' is S.impressa from Phulchoki @ 2000m. Schefflera elata (Buch.-Ham.)
