Arisaema concinnum

Species of genus Arisaema are basically and easily differentiated on the basis of position of leaflets and their number number, in addition to the spathe and spadix characteristics:
1. Leaves with digitate leaflets (palmately arranged, gap on one side).
2. Leaves with pedate leaflets (not arising from same point, especially side leaflets)
3. Leaves with radiate leaflets (uniformly spreading from center).
There are three prominent species belong to the last group in Himalayas: A. erubescence and A. consaguineum with much narrower segments less than 1.5 cm broad, and latter with usually more than 11 leaflets. A. concinnum is easily differentiated by its broader (more than 1.5 cm) leaflets and green spathe with white longitudinal stripes and 2-7 cm long apical tail, the green spadix slightly emerging from spathe.
Perennial herb with depressed-globose tuber; leaf solitary  on up to 50 cm long petiole; leaflets 7-11, radiate, oblanceolate, base cuneate, tip ptolonged into a tail slightly curved down; peduncle shorter than leaf; spathe green (sometimes purple) with longitudinal white stripes, tube 4-8 cm long, limb ovate to deltoid, 2-4 cm broad with 2-7 cm long tail; spadix green, slightly emerging from spathe.

Please suggest id for this Arisaema shot from Pelling in Sikkim..
Seems to be Arisaema conciuum. A close up of the appendix is needed to confirm the ID.
Thanks for inputs... I will try to share closeup or clear pics (if I have any)..
The plant is most probably Arisaema consanguineum a rare plant endorsed in IUCN
Arisaema consanguineum in Sikkim is pretty much conform the holotype and has narrower leaflets with drooptips, a non-striped, all-green flower with a wider spathe blade ending in a long, filiform apex. The spathe tube in consanguineum is also not narrowing towards the spathe mouth like the plant on the pictures so I agree with ... about his identification as concinnum. Consanguineum rarely occurs in Sikkim, concinnum is much more common, both in Sikkim and in W Bengal, often forming colonies due to its stoloniferous behavior.

This Arisaema was shot from Pelling in Sikkim...
Please suggest the id...there are two different kinds of striations on the spathe..
Do both of them belong to A. concinnum ??
Yes it is Arisaema concinnum Schott.
There are so many colour variants of this species

This was again recorded from Sikkim, this may be a repeat...
Posting this, as I am not sure if this can be A. concinnum again.. please suggest id..
Yes, this is Arisaema concinnum Schott with dark spathes

This Arisaema sp. was photographed in Naini Tal Uttarakhand. Tentatively identified as A. concinnum. Please suggest correct ID.
In light of inputs received for my uploads of the same..I will say, yes, this is Arisaema concinnum..
I think yes, very much similar to mine.

Location Kalimpong West Bengal
Sir,
Kindly identify it

Have not got time to name both but I am sure ... will be able to rapidly sort the 3 images out - surely there is more than one species of Arisaema photographed at Kalimpong?  The second image does appear to match A.tortuosum but not the first and third - which belong to a markedly different species.  Would be helpful to know the elevation?
It is not uncommon for there to be more than one species of a genus growing amongst each other, some of which are difficult to tell apart - these are not. One should always be alert to this.
Pl. also check

2nd images may be of Arisaema tortuosum var. neglectum (Schott) Fisch., while others appear to be of Arisaema jacquemontii Blume

First and third picture is Arisaema concinumm, second picture is normal tortuosum. Neglectum is a true and independent species that only occurs in S India, particularly in Maharashtra state, but does not occur around Kalimpong.

Identification of Arisaema - regarding. : last 6 correct images. 3 posts by 3 authors.
Let me introduce myself. I am a nature photographer from West Bengal ( India). During my visit to Sikkim and Singalila Forest (mainly through Darjeeling District of West Bengal) I had photographed some different Cobra Lilies (Arisaema) which I failed to identify.
Now, I am sending the photographs for your valuable comments.
.........................
Photographs : 4A & 4B : Photogrphed in Tinchule Village in Darjeeling District of West Bengal. Common. Altitude : About 6,500 ft. Blooming Time - April.
I could not identify it. Would you kindly help me to identify them.
Photographs : 5A, 5B, 5C & 5D : Photographed near Khechiperi Lake of Sikkim. Blomming time - April. Are they Arisaema ciliatum? Kindly help me.

As per concise flowers of the Himalaya by Oleg Polunin & Adam Stainton- they have not mentioned Arisaema ciliatum, but these appear like Arisaema erubescens as per plates & description. Can't 4A & 4B be Arisaema erubescens also, as the leaves appears quite similar, though the colour of Spathe is bit different? ................. Others may like to give their views.
I recentlty joined and saw this old thread. I can give some ID's which could help for future reference if you still need them:
..........................
4 A & B = Arisaema concinnum
5 A-D = Arisaema concinnum
Arisaema concinnum occurs in green forms and purple forms and anything in between.

Arisaema flavum
Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, Chopta, Uttrakhand.
June 2009.
Hope the ID is correct.
That is Arisaema concinnum.
