Cormous herbs. Leaf lamina 3-sect, middle lobe pinnately lobed, varying in size; petioles 50-100 cm high. Peduncles as long as petioles. Spathe green, 5-8 x 2.5-5 cm, broadly ovate-oblong, acute at apex, round at base. Spadix blackish purple, 3-5 cm long, 0.3-0.5 cm diam. Perianth 3-4. Stamens 4-6. Ovary 1-celled; ovule 1; style 0; stigma discoid. Berries ovoid, 0.6-0.8 cm long, orange red on ripening.
