IS it arisaema? : 6 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (1). Please id is this arisaema or amorphophallus? Found in Murbad forest 2014 june Amorphophallus. You can always recognize an Amorphophallus shoot by the fact it has 3 distinct but equal leaf sections. Each section will be divided again into several leaflets. In Arisaema you will never see that, if they are divided they are either radiatisect (umbrella-like) or have unequal sections with a central leaflet and 2 lateral divided ones along a substalk called a rachis (tortuosum, neglectum). Can’t help you with the species. This is definitely a species of genus Amorphophalus. Amorphophallus konjac |
