Kas Week: Seshagiria sahyadrica: A rare perennial climber with woody rootstock; stems twining, 2-3 m long. leaves ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, cordate, 10-15 cm long. Flowers in axillary cymes. Corolla lobes remain attached untill the flowers are pollinated and then spread. Family-Apocynaceae (Asclepiadaceae). Khobardoda in marathi. This grows on shrubs on the Kas plateau. Flowering in hot summer.

Status of Seshagiria Sahyadrica & Ceropegia Fantastica:  Is there any sighting of the captioned species in and around Mumbai/Kolhapur wildlife circle, apart from Koyna, Chandoli and Radhanagari?
