Plant for ID 02/03/2011 SMP1: Trumpet shaped large white flowers (10-15 cm) with drooping branches. Leaves opposite glossy. Mostly a climber. Seen at Rani Bag Mumbai. 27 Feb 2011 - This is most likely Beaumontia grandiflora, a climber. It has latex.
Beaumotia grandiflora: This photographs of Beaumotia grandiflora I took from Govt. P.G. College Balaghat (M.P.). Some days back I've been to that college for conduct of practical exams. My students working as assistant professors at Balaghat college asked me to id this Liana growing in the garden. I identified this plant as Beaumotia grandiflora.

- It is indeed Beumontia grandiflora, family Solanaceae. Trumpet flowers. Similar type of plant i have seen in VJBU, BYCULLA, (VICTORIA GARDEN) at Japaneese Garden. It is a huge climber. - Pl correct the typo error: It is indeed "Beaumontia" and belongs to the family Apocynaceae.

Yes. You are right. Going by Keys in Flora of China, I think it should be Beaumontia grandiflora :
However, on net I could not find many images with yellow or orange stamens. Dave's garden gives a different view not based on stamen colour. For this a proper side view is required for id.
