Billardiere's Eryngo;

Plant up to 50 cm tall, stems bluish; radical leaves pinnately divided, petiolate, cauline sessile, margin spiny; flowers sessile; involucre of 6-8 bracts alternating spines; flowers white, hidden in bracts.
