I clicked these pictures in Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh). The Great Barbet was relishing the fruit. Please help me to identify this tree.
Not much familier with himalayan flora. But, i guess it could be a species of Rhus, most probably Rhus succedanea of Mango family. Pl check description matches perfectly.

Photographs of Toxicodendron succedaneum appears more like  that of Pistacia and edible to birds. Toxicodendron species are  poisonous.

I asked for a tree id last month. I clicked the picture again -close up, it looks like Tun or toona ciliata or known as mahagony. the fruit
is exactly the same of Tun. Am I right?
It would be sps of Shinus - Anacardiaceae
