Attachments (2) this delight was growing on the roadside from Lava to Kalimpong Delightful indeed!Look too delicate to be 'wild':) Looks familiar, but can't remember what it is. Looks like the seed- pods, instead of flowers. In the bottom left corner of the first picture the pink flowers are Bristletips (Oxyspora paniculata) http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Bristletips.html (at least I can identify something, even if u didn't ask for it!) ;-) thanks for confirming my tentative suspicion about these being seed pods. I look forward to more views. And thank you for id-ing the self-effacing Bristletips in the first picture. Will post a loud and clear one of it tomorrow, continuing the Pink series. This is an exciting journey of learning! Thanks all for this experience. That's no confirmation of seed-pods, its only my suspicion! :) ... just a wild and stupid guess, any Rumex species ? This one looks like Dobinea sp. of Anacardiaceae family. thanks for the ID. I can now narrow it down to Dobinea vulgaris. Flowers are tiny, pale yellow. Fruit is a small compressed capsule covered by yellow-white or rose- colored, veined, paper bracts, which are circular in shape. Thank you ... Shall I freeze this as Dobinea vulgaris then? So these are seed pods! Location: Champadevi , Nepal Altitude: 6000 ft. Date: 12 November 2016 Nepali Name: सांगले Saangle Arunachal flora-3 : 7 posts by 4 authors.
