Please ID this tuber/corm of an edible root crop. Leaves are fleshy, thick, strap-like originating in tufts from the tuber. Photo was taken in Sri Lanka in Mar 2012.
It seems Crinum flaccidum
C. asiaticum (Fam: Amaryllidaceae)
Looks like Crinum viviparum but I should say that we should have all the characters to identify plant correctly.
