It may be Chenopodium ambrosioides. To me also this looked like C. ambrosoides, you can do little efforts to confirm, try to locate the plant, smell the foliage, if this gives a sharp smell, it is confirmed..

Urticaceae? ABJUL01/43 : 12 posts by 3 authors. 7 images.
Finally this plant which I think could belong to Urticaceae looking at the very tiny flowers and sessile buds. The leaves were very different from any of the nettles I have seen, so it may be a completely different family. Please advise.
Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, HP

30 July 2016.
Very interesting details & nice capture!!!
This could be a species of Ammannia (Ammannia baccifera). The plant seems to have been infected.
Thanks, ..., for the possible Id. Appears like images at Ammannia baccifera, but I am not too sure.
Is it strongly aromatic herb? If so there are possibilities of Dysphania ambrosioides (Chenopodiaceae).
Thank you once again ... I am afraid I do not remember checking it for aroma but I can go and find the plant soon and report back. Your ID looks tantalisingly close.
You were spot on .... It is a very strong smelling herb.
I cannot place the smell, something between a balm and kerosene, but not altogether unpleasant. Do you think I can brew a tea with the leaves?

Seen this small herb en-route Mahabaleshwar near a water stream..
Date/Time: 28-12-2013 / 10:40AM
Habitat:Wild.
Please check for Pouzolzia zeylanica.
efi page on Pouzolzia zeylanica
Pouzolzia for sure, but looks too much branched for P. zeylanica.
I think it should be Dysphania ambrosioides (Chenopodiaceae).

Chenopodiaceae and Amaranthaceae Week: NS 003: Chenopodium ambrosioides : This aromatic species of Chenopodium was shot from Panipat... Dysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants (Syn. Chenopodium ambrosioides L.)..
Yes ... One of the most badly smelling plants under Chenopodium.

Chenopodiaceae and Amaranthaceae Week :: DV20 :: QUERY :: Chenopodium ambrosioides citations:
At ENVIS / FRLHT, we have Chenopodium ambrosioides Bert. ex Steud.
At NPGS / GRIN, we have Chenopodium ambrosioides L. synonym of Dysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants
Naively hoping that the two Chenopodium ambrosioides are related as synonyms ... ELSE getting names for Dysphania ambrosioides in languages of India is going to get difficult !
Please throw some light - whether these are synonyms.
If the two Chenopodium ambrosioides are NOT related as synonyms ... there may be some error somewhere ... English names listed for Chenopodium ambrosioides Bert. ex Steud. at ENVIS / FRLHT .. are ditto that of Dysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants at Wikipedia and elsewhere.
OK ... I will go with common names listed for Chenopodium ambrosioides Bert. ex Steud.
These names would be compiled for Chenopodium ambrosioides L. synonym of Dysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants
Will wait for any valid reasoning.

This is a non-invasive, annual weed in Dhanotu Village (altitude: 770m, near Dharamsala, Kangra, HP). The leaves emit a really strong, unpleasent odor when crushed.

Any other images?

Yes, I have attached them.
