strobilanthes? : 5 posts by 3 authors. 2 images.
If someone can help me with the species name?
I looked at Strobilanthes, but they have different flowerheads
Mid-east Nepal; 2200m
29/10
along a footpath
Strobilanthes tomentosa (Nees) J.R.I.Wood
Please acknowledge if the ID is correct !
I think this is probably Strobilanthes lamiifolia. It is certainly not typical of the plant but it does have congested flower heads.

Is this the same sp as my recent post in Re: SK 2804 23 October 2020 ??

Stobilanthus sps
Resembles Strobilanthes gracilis
Strobilanthes gracilis is not listed in Nepal and looks not matching.
This is tricky. The solitary terminal inflorescence suggests Strobilanthes lamiifolia but there are no bracts and their absence would make this is a very untypical example. Were there other plants in the population and if so did they have a healthy looking inflorescence. Essentially this is Strobilanthes sp. incert ? lamiifolia.
