Very common bryophyte and commonly found in the low land areas along ground, cement walls, on rocks, ladders of temple, on clay soil with humus etc. Thallus thin, light green, tufted, dichotomously divides, rhizoids smooth, densely overlapping, pores on the dorsal surface, absent in sterile, male and female plants, midrib absent, rhizoids both thin and thick walled. Try crushing it on ur palm and smell it. It has essence of lemon :)

Yes this is also *Cyathodium sp. *but i am waiting for a more close up to have a look on the thallus structure. At this stage of the plant (which the picture depict) its very difficult to find reproductive organs. So only thallus is sufficient to confirm. all specimens are Cyathodium. *The genus Cyathodium is represented by nine taxa in India.
