Athyrium macrocarpon Fée SN24420 : 3 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (1) - 3 mb.
Athyrium macrocarpon Fée, wild terrestrial fern from Western Ghats Tamilnadu

No, not A. macrocarpon - it is A. anisopterum.
A. macrocarpon (Blume) Bedd. [note Fee is not the authority - Fee's was an independent Asplenium macrocarpum (Fee) T.Moore, nothing to do with this genus] was described from Java, where A. anisopterum does not occur, and is in fact a synonym of A. puncticauleA. puncticaule also occurs in S. and far N.E. India - but is not this present species.
...- I think you really do need access to a modern detailed botanical book on Indian ferns as these many misidentifications and misnamings are rather misleading!  If you are writing something on ferns for publication it will clearly need considerable revision.
