44th Tree Appreciation Walk in Silonda Trail, SGNP

As the winter’s wild, gentle & cool breeze has picked up……… & the trees creak , swaying in the wind…………The Earth has slowly started gathering all into herself……….wild herbs, climbers, flowers going back into her…….with the promise to be born again very soon. Its leafy abundance may be receding but, defying all the quietness & stillness……..the beautiful pink flowers of Hill Thistle (Tricholepis amplexicaulis), Abai (Canavalia gladiata), Forest Barleria (Barleria prattensis), Hill Blepharis ( Blepharis asperrima), Hill Catmint (Anisomeles heyneana) and very elusive flowers of Bauhinia faveolata tree and many more …….. are exploding with energy, as if wanting to be watched in wonders in Silonda Trail……..

“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.” H. D. Thoreau
