Generic request letter I’m a graduate student in Florida and I created www.DistanceEducationDay.com. It’s about commemorating a court case that shaped the future of distance education. . There are many milestones in the spread of distance education and there are certainly other dates that could be given the tag “DE Day” – and this email message is an attempt to foster that discussion. I’m writing to ask if you would take some time to look at the historical view and write back with support for a resolution declaring March 3 as “distance education day.” It is difficult, I’m sure, for an association to lend support to an idea that is perhaps not widely viewed as a priority. Still, it would help the concept of commemoration to have your membership aware of the idea. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear back from you. You can reply to FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com

=================== Letter to Alliance for Education http://www.all4ed.org/ Hi I’m a graduate student in Florida and I created www.DistanceEducationDay.com It’s about commemorating a court case that shaped the future of distance education.
I certainly don’t want any confusion with your fabulous Digital Learning day and I’m asking permission to post on the DE Day website a link to your press release (so that people can see the difference between the retrospective nature of DE Day and the future orientation of your DL Day. Press release: http://www.all4ed.org/press_room/press_releases/02012012 or is there a better page for a permanent link for “DLD” (on the DistanceEducationDay.com page)? I’m also writing to ask if you would take some time to look at the historical view and write back with support for a resolution declaring March 3 as “distance education day.” It is difficult I’m sure, for an association to lend support to an idea that is perhaps not widely viewed as a priority. Still, it would help the concept of commemoration to have your membership aware of the idea.
Thanks for your time and I hope to hear back from you. You can reply to FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com
