Why should I Join?

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

Our Order's four principles are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. And each is truly epitomized here at Fr. Patrick O'Kelley's. Through our constant fundraising and volunteer efforts we're able to help the less fortunate while also bringing good men together for good cause. We stand out in front defending the right to life. And we work quietly behind the scenes helping those in need.

We're a Catholic men's organization. And that means something-even today. It means integrity. It means faith, hope, and charity. And of course love of family. O'Kelley's isn't just a place for the boy's to get together and watch the game-though it can certainly be just that. It's also a place for good men to take their families.

We have a beautiful banquet hall, and an inviting lounge you can stop in, have a drink, enjoy some great food, and share in some great company. But we're also much more than that. We're a group of men who strive to live up to the Commandments of God and the Precepts of the Church.

As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, the world's largest Catholic family magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal benefits.

Fr. Patrick O'Kelley Council is one of the largest Councils in the State of Michigan with over 800 members. We conduct a variety of charitable, Fraternal and family oriented activities throughout the year. Click here to view our Calendar of events.
