2018 Darien XC Info

XC season is just around the corner!!!! Below are some important items. Please read all items carefully.

1. If your son is not planning on running XC this fall, please let me know and I will remove you from the distribution list. Also, feel free to forward this email to anyone who might be interested in XC and not on the distribution list already.

2. Practice schedule (before school begins) -- You are expected at practice every day. Attendance is taken everyday.

Thursday 8/23 -- 9 a.m. -- meet in the North Gym
Friday 8/24 -- 3:30 p.m.
Saturday -- 8/25 -- 9 a.m.
Monday-Wednesday -- 2:40 p.m.
When school begins -- 2:40 p.m.

3. An emergency card needs to be filled out and signed  by the DHS nurse: http://www.darienps.org/uploaded/content/district/departments/health_services/7.pdf ;
The DHS nurse must have a current physical on file for your son. Physicals are good for 13 months: http://www.darienps.org/uploaded/har3_2017_(2).pdf ;
On ASPEN -- sign off on concussion and sudden cardiac arrest forms on both the parent and student ASPEN account.

4. A meet schedule will be emailed next week once it is finalized.

5. Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Workshops for Athletes and Parent are scheduled as follows:
This is a requirement -- once per each school year.
