Opportunity Quilt    Coshocton Canal Quilters    2018

The 2018 Opportunity Quilt for the Coshocton Canal Quilters was pieced by Suzann Stoker and finished by Carolyn Mann. Suzann used the pattern, Rosebuds for Recovery, from the book Pink Ribbon Quilts, A Book Because of Breast Cancer, by Mimi Dietrich, 1999.

The 2018 Quilt Show theme is "A Walk in the Garden".   The guild has a history of supporting breast cancer charities so this quilt, Rosebuds for Recovery, is a very appropriate tribute to both concerns.

The quilt is 94" x 104".   This is a versatile size that can be used on many beds.   The quilt is rose pink, cream and green with a large rose design quilted in. The back features a stripe with a botanical print rose design.

The quilt fabric is all cotton.  The batting in the quilt is Hobbs Heirloom Wool.  This filling is a washable wool and is soft and lofty. Wool batting gives the quilt a light weight breathable finish, so you feel comfortable regardless of whether the room is cold or warm.  Most people with allergies don’t find that the wool in the quilt affects them.

Tickets are available from guild members & at the quit show for $1 each or 6 for $5.
