Guide

Restoring the Trucha Bug (not recommended)

Needed files for Offline guide:

SD:/WAD/IOS15-64-v257.wad

SD:/WAD/IOS15-64-v523.wad

SD:/WAD/IOS36-64-v3351.wad

1) Run DOP-Mii. Press A to continue to the next screen. Go down once to select "Install IOS36 w/FakeSign". Press A to continue.

If the wii crashes (gives a code dump) for one of the following steps (1a - c), hold the Power button till the wii shuts down. Then reboot it, launch DOP-IOS MOD and start again from 2a.

A -- Downgrading IOS15

1a) The first thing to do is to downgrade IOS15. You will have to choose the location of your IOS now.

  • If you have WiFi, leave the option on "Download IOS from NUS" and press A.

  • If you have no WiFi, change it to "Load IOS wad from sd card" (2 times right or left) and press A.

It will ask the same thing for IOS15 v257, so choose the same thing as you just did. Now let it install.

B -- Installing IOS36 with FakeSign Bug

1b) Once it finishes, it will ask to "Aply ES_Identify Patch to IOS36". Press A to accept it.

Then it'll ask if you want to enable NAND permissions as well. Press A to accept this too.

Now you'll have to choose the location of the IOS again. Choose the same option as you chose in step 2a.

And yet again, it'll do its thing so just let it finish.

C -- Restoring IOS15

1c) Resetting IOS15 is optional, but recommended.

Just choose one more time where to load the IOS from and press A.

It will tell you that everything is successful! Press A to return to the main menu.

Deleting Stub IOSs (not needed)

This is a very simple process.

1) Start DOP-Mii via Homebrew Channel and press A to continue.

2) Choose the first option (IOS: 36) by pressing A. You will see another menu, where you also have to choose the first option (IOS, BC, MIOS).

3) In the new IOSs menu, go to one of the stub IOSs that is installed (you can see that on the right under "currently installed', as it will show "(STUB)" then).

If you found a stub IOS you want to uninstall, press - (minus), then A to confirm.

Usually, people uninstall IOS202,222,223,249 and 250 if these are stubs.

Patching System Menu IOS

Needed files for Offline guide:

The IOS you want to install in SD:/WAD/

1) Start DOP-Mii via Homebrew Channel and press A to continue.

2) Choose the first option (IOS: 36) by pressing A. You will see another menu, where you also have to choose the first option (IOS, BC, MIOS).

"Dop"-ing the IOS that your system menu uses will allow you to load custom channels that have been moved to the SD menu (on 4.0< system menus).

Use the left/right buttons on your wiimote to choose the IOS that corresponds to your current system menu version:

3) After selecting your IOS, press + to install it. Accept all patches press A on eveything.

IMPORTANT! If you had a previous installation of Preloader/Priiloader, you must immediately reinstall Preloader/Priiloader to avoid the garbled "System Files are Corrupt" brick!

You should now have a patched system menu IOS!

Installing Wii Channels

One of the many features of DOP-Mii is the ability to install Official Wii Channels from Nintendo's update server or from a WAD (see NUS Downloader) placed in the root of your SD card. This is an easy and effective way to make sure your Shop and Photo channels are up-to-date and install the Internet Channel, as well as replace missing News, Weather, and/or Mii channels.

1) Start DOP-Mii via Homebrew Channel and press A to continue.

2) Choose the first option (IOS: 36) by pressing A. You will see another menu, where you also have to choose the second option (Channels).

  • Install Channel: (Use the left or right button on the wiimote to select the channel you'd like to install)

  • Region: (DOP-Mii will automatically detect the region of your Wii. Make sure you only install channels that match your Wii's region!)

3) When your desired channel and region are on the screen press A to begin installation.

When the process finishes, your channel will be installed!

Installing System Menu

DOP-Mii also has the ability to install System Menus!

IMPORTANT: BEFORE installing any system menu, you MUST make sure to install a NON-STUBBED version of the IOS that system menu version requires!!! If you do not, you WILL brick your Wii!!!

DOP-Mii will warn you when you do not have the needed version installed and will not continue unless you install it!

You can use NUS Downloader to download and pack the necessary IOS wads.
