Wii64 is a Nintendo 64 emulator that was released only recently. This is because the Nintendo 64 console is very difficult to emulate (even PCs have problems with it). So maybe the emulator isn't perfect yet, but at least it gets the job done. Here is the compatibility list, it's amazing for being a beta 1. Really shows how much interest the developers have in this emulator.
* An SD card (Best results are with non-SDHC cards, SDHC will only work on 4.0 or above) or USB device formatted to FAT(32).
* Highly recomended: GC controller or classic controller
Computer ----------------------1. Download Wii64 and extract the 7z file to your SD card
2. Put your roms in SD:/Wii64/Roms/
They can be n64 or z64 format.
Wii ----------------------3. Run Wii64 with the HBC. You will be brought to the main screen.
Let's see what every option does:
As the name says, this option loads a rom into the memory. Roms can be loaded from SD, USB (needs cIOS202) or DVD (needs DVDx).
Once you loaded the rom, you will see some info about it, then you'll return to the main screen.
Gives you the options to save and load your game (both normal saves and 10 save-state slots).
You can also view the ROM info here.
Native saves Device: Where the save file has to be loaded from / saved to
Save states device: Where your save states have to be loaded from / saved to
Select CPU core: Sometimes, one of the 2 modes works better for a game
Save settings.cfg: Saves your current settings to SD/USB
Show FPS: Enable this is you want to view the FPS on the screen
Screen Mode: Switch between 4:3 and 16:9
Don't mess with the other 3 options
Configure input: Lets you choose what controller(s) you want to use. Does not let you configure the buttons.
Configure packs: Give a certain player a mempack OR rumblepack
Disable Audio: Turn the sound off
Auto Native Saves: Enable this to make it save automatically
Copy saves and delete saves are not done yet.
Who worked on this loader?
Exit to the loader
Start the game you just loaded into the memory.
You can always return to the menu by pressing 1+2 (WiiMote+Nunchuck) or X+Y (GC and Classic controllers)
