Starting in 2017-2018 Adidas became the jersey supplier for the NHL. These new jerseys, know as the Adizero, use a new cut and new materials. The over all design of the jersey was unchanged from the previous year with only slight changes to the neck area and piping. Also the number and name font changed for the first time since the inaugural season. The numbers and captains letters were all single layer sublimated with the numbers being perforated. (see Font Charts page) The name plate used single layer letters sewn to a jersey colored plate. For all games played thru December 16th (away set 1, away auction set, home set 1 and home auction set) the jerseys had the same Centennial patch from the 2016-2017 season sewn on the right arm. The Jerseys set was noted in the collar of the jerseys. Road Set 1 had the number one written in the center of the collar, Home Set 1 had one dot written next to the size, a home and away set worn for 5 games after set 1 ended was auctioned off by MeiGray, these jerseys had two dots written next to the size, Set 2 away and home jerseys had 3 dots written next to the size and Playoff Set 3 away and home jerseys had 4 dots written next to the size. A link to the MeiGray Population Report will be add once MeiGray provides it.
For the 2018-2019 season the home and away jerseys should stay the same, but the 3rd jersey will make its return.
