Colchester Harriers made their way to Cambridge for the 3rd EYAL of the season. Number of athletes were down on previous meetings due to exams and Essex Schools the previous day, but those that competed for the club had only PBs and points on their minds.

In the Under 13 Girls there were outstanding performances with several Girls gaining PBs. Mary Robinson jumped 3.68m in Long Jump & ran 14.9 in 70m Hurdles.  Hannah Rodgers 70m H 15.3 & 1500m 5.45.6 both PB s. Niamh Higgins 1500m 5.37.1. Mia Farrell improved her time in the 100m 16.0. PB. Isabella Minder gained a PB in Shot Putt 4.33m & 200m. Eliza Betts High jump 1.36m. Mya Obwoya ran a strong 100m with a PB of 15.5.

Under 13 boys, who are in short supply again performed well, with Graig Anya Joseph winning his 100 and 200m and 2nd in new event discus.Finlay McBrayne had pbs in 200m, shot and Javelin, as did Ziggy Lambton in High jump, Long jump and discus.

Callum McKay broke the u15 club record for 100m in 11.4, whilst Mufaro Shava had a pb in 200m and both boys had pbs in discus. Charlie Pitt pb 100m with Jedidiah Amesota and Daniel Jones gaining pbs in 300m and long jump.In the longer distance of 1500m Danny Milward, Max Caulfield and Joseph Boden all had pbs, with a pb at  800m for Sam Horn.

In the U15 everyone achieved a PB in at least one of their events: Kira Wealls 100 (13.3) & 200 (27.4), Savanna Harrison 300 (45.0) & shot (5.89), Rachel Hoddell 300 (47.4), long jump (3.81) & shot (6.98), Katie White 800 (2.52.2), high jump (1.30) & long jump (3.65), Jasmine West 1500 (5.24.6) & javelin (16.89), Charlotte Hoskyns - high jump (1.35), long jump (4.44) & 200 (30.4), Lauren Strutt -shot (6.15), 100 (14.1) & long jump (4.40), Georgia Smith - shot (4.95) & discus (6.81), Lily Waterson - discus (12.86) & javelin (21.82), Hollie Speller - 300 (47.8) & shot (5.85), Katie Rice - 300 (48.2) and Ellie Mitchell - long jump (3.78).
Rebecca Jeggo 1st in 100m 12.4, breaking the club record again, !st in 200m and pb in javelin. Millie Belbin 1st in 100m, 1st in 200m pb 27.4 and pb in long jump 4.93 and Yasmin Othman 1st in discus with pb and broke her javelin club record again 30.03.
The u17men were not to be left out of the pbs, at 800m Jake Young 2.00.6 and Max Williams 2.05.9 both1st with pbs, Charlie Everest 1500m pb and scored valuable points in triple jump. James Hoddell jumped 10.83 in triple jump pb while Tom Mitchell had pb in all 3 throwing events. Michael Everitt was back to compete for the club and tried his first hammer event and gained points in 3 throwing events too.
A great achievement from the athletes, especially for those who had competed the previous day.
