Attendance Policy
  • Swim season runs from February 7 through May 20, 2017.
  • Practices are held Monday through Friday from 3:30 - 6:00 pm.  View practice schedule here.

 Swimmer Expectations - Basic Rules:
  • Your grades are more important than swimming;
  • You have to want to be here and you have to demonstrate it every day;
  • You need to participate in at least 4 swim type practices each week (meets count) to be a part of this team. Practices do not have to be at the C. K. McClatchy pool;
  • You will not be late. If you are more than 10 minutes late and I did not receive prior notice, you will not practice that day;
  • Your swim suit will be designed for competitive swimming.  Your suit will not have pockets, clasps, hooks, buttons, etc.  You will need goggles to protect your eyes.  If you have long hair (gets in your face while swimming) you will need a swim cap; and
  • You will treat everyone with respect
Dismissal for a Swim Meet
  • Please be reminded that the swimmers are students, and they must stay in class at school as long as possible before dismissal to maintain their current eligibility. Swimmers do not have permission to leave campus to get food while on an early dismissal.
  • The Athletic Director will use the athletic roster to email CKM staff for dismissal. The swimmer will remind their teacher at the start of the class period of the time of early dismissal and will be released only at the designated time. Swimmers may not leave their class earlier.
  • Parents: if your child is marked absent and they were involved in a meet-related dismissal, please call the CKM Attendance Office at (916) 264-4401 ext. 1010 or 1011.
