Volunteer Positions

The Circle of Page is an umbrella organization offering help for a coalition of nonprofit charities in Page, Kaibeto, Tonalea, Shonto, Kayenta, Marble Canyon, Tuba City, LeChee/Coppermine, BitterSprings/Cedar Ridge/Gap, Greenhaven/Big Water, and surrounding communities.

The Circle of Page has no paid staff. We rely totally on the generosity of volunteers who donate their time and energy in hopes of providing a safety net for other in the community. We are looking for volunteers who:
  • Respect the confidentiality of our clients and customers
  • Are respectful of others and organizational rules
  • Are non-judgmental
  • Can easily multitask
The following charity groups are looking for volunteer help:
  • Circle of Page
  • Salvation Army
  • Healthy Meals Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen
  • Page Regional Domestic Violence Shelter
Print and complete volunteer application.


  • Greet all clients in a warm, respectful and professional manner without discrimination
  • Respect customer confidentiality
  • Answer questions about the Circle of Page and Salvation Army
  • Assist clients with check-in
  • Verify clients have all necessary paperwork
  • Answer incoming phone calls, as needed
  • Distribute diapers, when available
  • Help with miscellaneous copying
  • Direct clients out the front door

Emergency Fund Interviewer

  • Interview customers about emergency needs
  • Ask key questions and listen carefully
  • Be discreet and make decisions about emergency needs in compliance with organization's guidelines
  • Fill out necessary paperwork and document responses legibly
  • Multi-task
  • Assist with check writing
  • Perform general office duties, e.g., computer tasks, copying and filing


Hours: Tuesday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and/or Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to Noon.

Volunteer Interviewer
  • Complete tasks per rules set-up by Phoenix office
  • Fill out necessary paperwork
  • Make copies
  • File
  • Help with computer work

Camp Coordinator

  • Seek referrals from Encompass, PRDVS, schools and DES
  • Meet with parent(s) and child and help fill out application, as needed.
  • Gather necessary supplies
  • Organize drivers to get the kids to Flagstaff to meet the bus and pick them up afterwards

Angel Tree Coordinator

  • Order Angel Cards for Trees
  • Get referrals from Page agencies
  • Register applicants
  • Set up tress at local businesses
  • Put Angel Cards on trees
  • Collect Angel gifts
  • Sort gifts
  • Shop for gifts, as needed
  • Distribute gifts on the Saturday before Christmas

Bell Ringing Coordinator

  • Check with stores about where you want to set-up a kettle and fill out necessary paperwork
  • Recruit volunteers and develop schedule
  • Deliver Salvation Army kettles to stores
  • Stay in touch with volunteers regarding their shifts
  • Direct volunteers to store kettle at store customer service desk when not in use
  • Staff kettle, as needed
  • Empty donation kettles (buckets) frequently (daily if doable)
  • Take donations to the National Bank and deposit donations
  • After Christmas holiday, pick up kettles and put in Salvation Army storage shed
  • Write thank you notes to participating businesses


Hours: Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and/or Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to Noon

Front Desk Check-in

  • Checks in clients and customers
  • Records information using a computer

Front Counter Volunteers

  • Prepare food boxes of fresh produce, eggs, meat and perishables
  • Retrieve appropriate food box from table, based on number in family
  • Distribute food boxes to Food Pantry customers

Food Box Packers

  • Pack boxes with available food from Food Pantry shelves
  • Re-stock shelves

Back Room Volunteers

  • Break down bulk items
  • Delver food from back to boxers for restocking on shelves
  • Break down boxes

Truck Unloaders

  • Help unload food truck at St. Mary’s two times per monht.
