February - Monthly Mothers' Mini-Retreat

posted Jan 31, 2019, 1:07 PM by Christian Mothers Officers

Greetings Christian Mothers,

Canon Boucheron will be giving us his valuable spiritual instructions for mothers at 8 a.m. with our monthly prayers to follow while remaining in our pews. There will be time available for confession and the rosary before Mass - which begins at the usual 9 a.m.

Amy Smith has another mother's topic of discussion after Mass in O'Brien Hall. If you are able, feel free to bring a simple snack to share. The discussion will start at about 9:45 a.m., so please grab a snack...and we'll "let the discussion begin." :-)

Please come and enjoy this refreshing & valuable Mother's Mini-Retreat that Canon (as well as Amy this month) prepares for us!

God bless you and your dear families in this joint journey of educating our children to be strong faithful Catholic...adults!!!

Thankfully, it is supposed to be "warm" on Saturday! Very much looking forward to being with each of you!

November: Mini-Mothers Retreat

posted Oct 22, 2018, 2:41 PM by Christian Mothers Officers

The Confraternity of Christian Mothers will be continuing a new format for our Mini-Mothers Retreat on 1st Saturdays. Canon Boucheron will give his spiritual instructions at 8 a.m. in the church, then our official prayers together in the church, time for the rosary and confession if needed - Holy Mass, then down to O'Brien Hall for a topic of discussion for mothers which will be led by Amy Smith, "Raising children to be in the world, but not of the world." We can revisit Advent/Christmas in light of this challenge, and then proceed to talk about other ways in which we need to find this balance (keeping the Sabbath holy, handling the bombardment of secularism in our culture, etc.), with social time to follow. If you are curious about what the Christian Mothers is about, please feel free to join us!!!

CCM March Meeting (Mini-Retreat)

posted Mar 2, 2016, 7:42 AM by Christian Mothers Officers

We will meet on this First Saturday, March 5, 2016 for Holy Mass. These "meetings" can really be classified as "Mini-Retreats" focusing on topics pertinent to "Christian Mothers."

Our Christian Mother prayers will again be prayed in church after Canon leaves the sanctuary, so please be sure to get a prayer booklet and remain in your pews to pray our prayers together. We will pray the "instructions' prayer" after Canon gives us his spiritual instructions in O'Brien Hall.

We will immediately go to O'Brien Hall after our final song is finished. Canon Boucheron will be covering one of your topics that was submitted during our request for topics from you.

If you are able, feel free to bring a snack to share, Canon Boucheron likes to come down and share some food and coffee with us.

We are looking forward to meeting with all of you and enjoy your company,...and catch up with one another!

If you or someone you know is interested in seeing what the Confraternity of Christian Mothers is all about, please come & join us!!
