Both of the beige babies, S1 (male) on top and S2 (female) on bottom. The beige girl (38 grams) was born significantly smaller than the male (68 grams) but she's much more active and that's a good sign! Fingers are crossed for good health and growth for the girlie!
Both of the new arrivals. In this picture, you can see the difference in size between the siblings!
S1, the beige boy at two weeks of age.
S2, the female at two weeks. She's growing nicely and gaining at the same rate as her brother. We're happy to say she's pulling through!
The siblings out for a short playtime and picture session. They're so curious, they just want to figure out how that little hamster see-saw works!
S2 Having fun on the hamster see-saw. He can't crawl inside it as he's a little bigger than his sis, but he's just as happy to hop on top of it.
S1, "Squirt" at 9 weeks. He's been weaned for a week now and is doing fine away from mom. He was well over 200 grams at weaning and is gaining very nicely on his own.
S2, Spaz, at 9 weeks. Spaz was left in with mom for the extra company and to prevent any potential weight losses accompanied with weaning and separation. She's doing great, is energetic as ever (she enjoys bouncing off the walls of her cage), and although is not as large as her brother, is still gaining adequately and has decent size.
Squirt at 17 weeks and 508 grams. This picture was taken two weeks before the '07 Spring Field Day. Squirt was just combed so we could see how he looks after being groomed. He'll be shown and evaluated at the show so we're hoping for some great results!
Spaz at 17 weeks and 477 grams. After a rough combing for a picture session, it's obvious that Spaz has some very nice fur. Although the camera doesn't capture it very well, the texture and veiling is very nice and pleasing to the eye. Spaz will also be shown in two weeks at the Field Day so we're hoping she'll also do well!
