Calypso is a medium phase standard female who was chosen at Bowen Ranch for a beige line with Pericles. She has both a National Grand Show Champion in her background as well as a National Reserve Class Champion. We debated for an hour between her and another female for a special pairing with Pericles as Calypso had the whiter belly, and the better veiling coverage while the other female had the stronger fur. Even Gary and Margot couldn't decide and they debated back and forth. I ended up choosing Calypso because she just had more quality points than the other female, although Gary said I couldn't go wrong either way. We look forward to seeing Calypso's and Peri's offspring and hope they'll eventually hit the top of the show table as well!
