2015 July

Dear Friends and supporters, Greetings from Uganda.

I thank you for the support and Prayers for us each day. My Work and Ministry to Children and their teachers / leaders is an inspiration each day. I see and hear young people who have grown and benefited from the love of many of you who love and care for them.

My first time in the UK, last year, gave me a wonderful experience especially looking at schools with most of the facilities that Children can access. It is school term time here and my 5 year son, Joshua just told me that some of his classmates have no pencils so he takes two so he can share.

What I have been doing

Our Trained Children’s Leaders/ teachers are doing School Ministry in Our “Child-Friendly Schools” campaign which includes reaching Children with the love of Christ and protecting them from Abuse and exploitation. My passion is to make education loveable by all Children.

Our Children’s advocacy Activities in Dioceses are growing on with Children involved in their communities to sensitise them on the importance and place of children.

Plans

Our training for Children’s Leaders in West Buganda Diocese on 27th June .

A 2 days Diocesan Trainers of Trainees Workshop has been planned in Children’s Discipleship Program mid-July.

We are scheduled to Train Teachers in Child Protection in Kampala, Lango and Mukono Dioceses in the coming months.

Mbale Diocese is will be hosting our Chaplaincy workshop for Eastern Region where over 70 Chaplains are expected before the end of the second Term.

Praise and Prayer

    • Can. Janet Muhindo has accepted to serve on our new Provincial Children’s Committee and am glad to have with her as part of the team planning with me at the Secretariat for the running of the ministry.
    • Pray for our continued struggle to raise funds locally for especially the different Children’s Activities which take place in Dioceses. Our wish is that all Children would participate in activities that grow them in faith and confidence for service today and tomorrow.
