Welcome to Ceprano Man (pronounced chepranno).
Although this site really doesn't have much to do with the oldest known human remains in Europe, it did inspire me to showcase and share those things I think are cool and interesting.
Some of the things I find interesting and often intriguing are foreign cultures, history, technology and anthropology.
A couple of years back, I took a trip to Italy and stayed in a small village south east of Rome in the Province of Frosinone callled Ceprano. This place has it all. A unique and community oriented culture, history dating back to the ancient Greeks and of course, the oldest known remains of a human ever found in Europe.
These remains were originally thought to be a unique branch of man's evolution and were named after the town near where he was found - "Ceprano man!"
In keeping with the site's theme, here is a link to the real Ceprano Man - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_cepranensis.
