About Me:

My name is Sharon Pritchard and I am a qualified cognitive behaviour therapist, EMDR practitioner and counsellor. I qualified at Keele University with a BSc (Dual Hons.) degree in Psychology and Criminology and subsequently studied for the Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling,  passing at Masters level, and the MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at The University of Chester.

I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). Since initially qualifying in 2003 I have worked within the private and public sector, gaining experience working with generic anxiety and depressive disorders and with individual’s who have found temporary solutions to problems in alcohol and substance misuse. I was recently awarded funding from the Strategic Health Authority to introduce a treatment programme addressing anxiety and weight loss. My aim is to work together with my clients to create a trusting therapeutic relationship that lays the foundations within which change can be facilitated. I have also worked as a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester.
