Life Cycle

Life Cycle: Adults spend the majority of their life as ground squirrels and gophers. The salamander themselves are poorly equipped for burrowing. This underground phase has often been referred to as esivation but true estivation has never been observed. Larvae are born in the water but later transform to a four legged creature.
