Inside the shop area

Left: C.C. Morrison. International Harvester made refrigerators from 1947 for about 10 years. Many rural farms were becoming equipped with electricity at this time. In 1955, the refrigeration division was sold to Whirlpool.

The location of the above picture of C.C. Morrison and Bob Morehead is unknown. It could be an early location on Cobb Street in the 1930s? The sign above C.C. head reads: "Parts, Twine and Service Strictly Cash"

Cameron Morrison (Right) and son Frank entering the business on Mason Street. (Date: March 1946). Cameron appears to be holding a sale bill listing "#? Mixed Dairy Cattle" and "#? Mixed Beef Cows." The owners name is not legible. In the window appears "McCormick-Deering Farm Equipment" which was a trade name International used through the mid to late 1940s.

The dealership was known as Fieth and Morrison until around 1942, according to ads in the local paper. Also note the letterhead and the reference to McCormick Deering and the old "IH" symbol. This document was contributed by Terry Sowers.
