Activities

The Cambridge District Art Circle (CDAC) arranges a variety of activities for its members - see 'Programme of Events' for details. These activities include:

Demonstrations.

These take place in The Hauxton Centre from 7.30 - 9.30pm on the second Wednesday of the month (except August). Doors open 7:15pm. A professional artist will speak, demonstrate a technique and show examples of their work.

Workshops.

These are arranged about 4 times a year and are usually held in Harston Village Hall and usually comprise a morning and afternoon session from 10.00am to 4.00pm. There is an additional fee of £35 per day (£40 for non-members) for attendance at these Workshops which can be booked at Demonstrations or by contacting Lesley Rumble on: lesleyrumble'at'macae.net

The Christmas Social Event.

There is usually a Christmas Social Event.

The Annual Exhibition.

Our Annual Exhibition of Members' work is held in Grantchester Village Hall over the August Bank Holiday weekend. This is a great opportunity for members to exhibit and sell their paintings and cards to the public.

During the Exhibition you'll find our ever-popular ValPat cafe serving hot and cold drinks and great cakes. A perfect spot for relaxing, people-watching and maybe even some sketching whilst you chat or decide on your favourite picture.
