The "Maker" Space

The European Open Hardware Summit, and Maker Faire Rome wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. Sparkfun was there, and has a great blog post about some new entries into the maker space. (Read the full post here.)

If you don't know what the maker space is, it's basically the new DIY. Everything from home gardening to home building and farming with robots.

Here's a brief rundown of a few of the more intersting sites.

- FabHub which allows you to connect with designers and manufactures to produce anything you can think of.

- The DumbStore is an App store for non-smartphones.

- Open Farm can teach you to grow just about anything.

- The Open Source Seed Initiative is working to keep seed genetics open sourced.

Just Make It!
