Cabrillo Robotics club is excited to begin to apply for NASA's Swarmathon virtual competition. In this programming / engineering challenge students can design, program and build three virtual MARS rover / colony bots to survey terrain for resources. The challenge is to develop search algorithms for these robotic swarms to be executed in a virtual space or with actual bots. We chose virtual.

Participating the Swarmathon was a natural fit for our clubs next project because of NASA goals with the competition; (1) improve students skills in robotics and computer science and (2) further advance technology for future NASA space exploration missions. This aligns well with our clubs purpose.
