Events and Tours

Every year, Busse's Barron Acres gets several requests for educational tours of our facility. We also occasionally have open-house events for anyone to stop by and check out what we do. If you are interested in a tour, check out the information below. We will also update upcoming events and tours from time to time.

Scheduling a Tour

Tours of the facility must be arranged prior to coming to the farm. We love to show our operation to anyone interested, but there are a lot of safety and liability reasons for asking you to come when you have permission to do so.

To arrange a tour, please call Sherry at 715-537-5153. She will work with you to plan a date and time and give details of what to expect when you arrive.

Previous Tours

BBA has hosted groups from all of the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Botswana, France, Denmark, Holland, Japan, Germany, China, Brazil, South Korea, and all over the United States. We frequently have school groups and clubs that visit. As we have visitors, we will post pictures in this section. If you have visited in the past and would like to send a photo or comment about the farm, please send them to jaimielee.arnold@gmail.com.

Meet Springs!

Meet Springs. Springs was born at Norswiss farms last Thursday. On this day Busse's and Norswiss hosted Solan Springs fourth graders. They arrived at Norswiss just in time to watch her being born. As they watched they decided if the calf was a girl her name would be Springs and if it was a boy his name would be Solan. Springs is off to a great start at Busse's and we will be checking in with updates so the class can see her progress.

8/9/16- Update on Springs! For those of you following her progress, she just graduated from her individual hut last week and was introduced to about 19 new friends in her weaning pen. She is approximately 10 weeks old, and doubled her weight from when she arrived, putting her at just under 200 pounds! Her life in the weaning pen is all about adjusting to living with other calves, expanding her taste-buds to start eating a new kind of feed called haylage, and growing quickly! Check out the new pictures...
