Why study Falconry?

Falconry has a rich, international, four thousand year history. Once a right of passage for medieval squires, it taught patience, responsibility and discipline through the practice of animal husbandry. Officially recognised by UNESCO as an intangible living cultural heritage of humanity in 2010 (www.unesco.org/culture/ich/en/RL/00442 ), today it remains practically unchanged and still inspires trainees and students from all walks of life from around the world.
