NEWS AND NOTES

Dues: Izaak Walton Membership dues are $80.00 from January 1st to December 31st, 2024.   For those who have paid in advance, the new conbination is_______.  If this conbination is blank, your membership probably has expired.  Please contact a board member to renew.

Board of Directors: The Board meets the first Wednesday of every month. The June meeting is board nominations. There are three terms that expire this year. This year Mike Bigelow, Bob Raner and Larry Josephson terms end and are up for re-election. Others who wish to be considered for nomination need to be nominated at the June 7th meeting. Members are always welcome to attend. The July 5th Board Meeting will be election night. Come and Vote. Also the board would like to hear from you (the members) about any ways that we could improve the Ike's. After the election of the three board members, the board will appoint the officers and conduct the normal board meeting.

Boone Valley Izaak Walton Family Fun Day: This will be held June 9th Sunday.  Contact Dave Gordon 515-827-5366 with ideas or questions or to sign up and help. There are a lot of events now during field days and we can use more assistance.

Range Usage:  Please make sure all your targets are set up so the bullets impact the berms.  Any targets carried out to be shot must be disposed of properly when you’re finished with them.  All shell casings need to be picked up this includes 22 cal.,  Center Fire, Shotgun, etc.  If you see someone that is not picking up after themselves, bring it to their attention and if that doesn’t work it should be brought to the attention of a Board Member.  We want to keep our Range clean.

Bench Rest:  The north range is open each Friday of the shoots to all members, but everyone shooting must shoot with the lights (about 45 minutes to shoot and 15 minutes down to set flags and targets).  Friday is a good time for anyone interested in asking questions or possibly even shooting one of the bench rest guns.  Contact Mike Bigelow or Ron Berg for details.

General Information:

If able we could use some help in running shooting events at this years Field Days in June. A couple of hours would let other volunteers take a break or maybe shoot in some of the events.

The Clubs Articles of Incorporation will be posted in the chapter clubhouse.  I will post other information as it becomes available.  If there are any questions or concerns, please contact one of the board members.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make our club a better place.

Dave Gordon,

President
