Entry Requirements

This information may be out of date as B2H is now managed by Trailsplus: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/bogong2hotham-tickets-28635833549

Be sure to read the following before entry. Entry implies acceptance of race rules and the cancellation policy and that you will bring the full mandatory kit. You must be able to make the mandatory race briefing on Saturday afternoon. If not, please don't enter.

Familiarisation with Mandatory Gear/Safety Requirements/and Waiver

As a condition of entry all runners must be familiar with required mandatory gear and have read the Safety Requirements and Waiver pages. This is a serious ultra. If you don't have the gear you don't get to run.

This is not an entry level race. The course is NOT marked. It is a serious ultra marathon requiring a high level of fitness and experience. The run organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. Entrants must provide evidence of a trail ultra completed within the 12 months prior to the run date. In the absence of a suitable trail ultra the applicant must submit evidence of other relevant organised run history for consideration. While the vast majority of the B2H course is runnable, entrants should be aware of the relatively tight cut-offs at checkpoints that will be enforced. This year qualification requirements will be strictly enforced. For safety reasons you need to have completed a trail ultra in the last 12 months. You need to have a time equivalent or better than a 5:45 hour 6 Foot Track finish. There is a list of the big trail races that you can use as qualifiers here: Qualifying races.  If you are not sure then email me directly to discuss.

Entries received after the field is full will be placed on a waitlist unless they request to be removed. Full refunds will be sent when they are removed or after the event day if they remain on the list. The waitlist will be in order of entries received. If a successful entrant withdraws before race day the first person on the waitlist will be offered the position, and so on. There is no transferring of entries.

In the event of cancellation of the run due to fire, extreme weather, total fire ban, high winds or other unforseen circumstance (or at the direction of Parks Victoria, Department of Sustainability, CFA or any other authority) attempts will be made to notify entrants as soon as possible. There will be no refund if the race is forced to be cancelled in the last 2 weeks (after 27/12/2015) and no responsibility is taken by the organisers for lost travel or accommodation expenses. On a Code Red Fire or Total Fire Ban day, the race will be cancelled as in keeping with the Risk Management Plan and Parks policy.

Entries can be cancelled up to 27 December 2015 with a full refund (less admin fee). Thereafter there will be no refund as race funds will already be committed to the event.

Transferring Entries

Entries are not transferrable. Any runner withdrawing before the race start cannot transfer their entry to another, it becomes available for the first runner on the waitlist, should there be one.

The Ambulance service in Victoria is NOT a free service. In the event that you require air evacuation you may be liable for significant costs. If you are not a subscriber or reside interstate you should check with your health fund or consider travel insurance to ensure cover.

Entry Fees

Fees have unavoidably increased to cover the cost of the tracking system to further improve runner safety.
