Introduction:
Chapter two of your textbook often gives students the most trouble- so don't worry if you don't get it right away! We will divide the chapter into three (3) lessons. Each lesson has objectives, a self-quiz, a discussion and an assignment. The chapter culminates in a final assignment.
Make sure you check the "What's Due When?" Section of every lesson to stay on top of due dates for quizzes and assignments!
- Lesson 1: Chemistry- An Introduction
- Lesson 2: The Atom & Atomic Structure
- Lesson 3: Bonding
- *Chapter 2 Final Assignment* You will want to visit this page early on to get a feel for what is due at the end of the chapter!
I am always available for questions or feedback. I will monitor the discussion sections of the site regularly so even though I might not be participating in the discussion, I am always there!
Before you get started:
The online discussions are a space where everyone shares his or her ideas and information. It is important to always be respectful and practice proper netiquette. To get familiar with proper online conduct visit the sites below:
It is so important in an online setting to be respectful of yourself and your fellow students. During our discussions we will be presenting our own interpretations of the materials for class. This is a learning process and we aren't always 100% right the first time. Do not say anything to your classmates that you wouldn't want said to you. That being said, have fun and let the learning begin!
Have fun and remember to ALWAYS BE RESPECTFUL!
