Great weekend for BBMC members. Hemmings Concours at Stratton, kicked off the weekend with a 'Drive to Stratton" for those who arrived on Friday. Their parking lot was like a 'mini' cruise in. Several rare vehicles, two Glas (German made from 55-66.....early cars were Gogomobiles), a coupe, and a roadster, a Corvair wagon, an Elva Courier (not mine), a Lotus Elite (was at Tanglewood), a fine Healy 3000, a host of well done domestic car, and trucks. Plus, Irv Gordon with his Volvo P1800 having 2.8 million documented miles. Save normal wear items, and paint his P1800 is all original. Several members were able to get a preview of what to expect at Stratton over the weekend. Friday evening saw a dozen plus members, once again, at the '6 Pub' in Williamstown. Weather was great, food decent, and lively conversation made it a fun evening. Saturday morning a TR 6 (Dan Z), an MG Midget (Bill/ Amy), a 'B' (Sam), found their way to Stratton behind the 'pace' vehicle......ML's CRV (windows, sunroof open......not even close to 'top down'). Once there everyone joined Mike Eldred, and his TF.....the CRV was relegated to the lower parking area. 'Drive to Stratton' followed rather closely the route used by Hemmings....... twisty back roads, two Covered Bridges (instead of four), a bit of a hill, and scenic views. Overall fun time.
